Wired Different is a graphic novel series about neurodiversity, acceptance, stigma, and advocacy. Although public awareness of neurodiversity is growing, many people still struggle daily with their unique challenges and the stigma they encounter in a neurotypical world. These books were created to shed light on that experience through a simple metaphor. In the ND community we often use “wired different” to describe why our brains work the way they do. The Wired Different series uses robot students in a post-human world to explain neurodiversity and mental health to middle-grade and young adult readers.
